HSE Officer/Administrator

* Title : HSE Officer/Administrator
* Reports to : Managing Director / Sr. HSE Advisor
* Supervision Exercised : As assigned

Summary :

* Direct assigned employees in performing HSE support services. Provide administrative assistance and expertise to management in the maintaining of Company HSE records and development of monthly HSE reports, individual employee HSE records, coordinate HSE training programs for FBMS personnel designed to meet operating objectives along with the enforcement of Company Regulations.

Responsibilities :

* Administer the Company HSE records and provide management with status reports, detailed action reports, and recommendations for management consideration.
* Organizes and implements the individual personnel HSE files; assist with evaluation of personnel HSE performances, report results and makes distribution as required.
* Plans and conducts initial HSE orientation of new staff which include screening all applicants and maintaining applicant files and records; extending offers of employment; assisting new hires and transfers in relocating and settling into their assigned work area.
* Aid management in identifying HSE training and development needs; either conducts or arranges for employee and supervisory training programs.
* Administers group insurance and other employee benefit programs.
* Counsels project management on implementation of company’s HSE procedures; conducts periodic HSE surveys and recommends appropriate HSE corrective actions.
* Defines and recommends organizational HSE objectives, specific short-term and long-range plans; monitors progress to assure HSE work objectives are attained and schedules are met.
* Provides advice and counsel to Afloat management regarding the interpretation and intent of the company’s HSE policies and procedures.
* Provides assistance to management in the creation and maintenance of good employee relations; implements employee communications programs.

Job Knowledge :

* Knowledge of requirements affecting HSE administration.
* A minimum of 3 years experience in general administration.
* Be able to communicate in English: Verbally, Writing and Reading.
* Demonstrated skill in identifying problem areas, investigating alternative solutions and determining action to be performed on problems affecting general office administration.
* Experience in the direction of HSE administration and communications with various levels of personnel.
* Skill in the preparation and presentation of oral and written reports.
